Tibebu Assefa

Tibebu Assefa is a climate change consultant and he is appointed to the role of City Adviser, Addis Ababa with C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group. He has 12 years of work experience. He served as an instructor, social and development program coordinator, a climate change expert government, international NGO and private institutions respectively. He holds a BSC degree in Agriculture Extension from Haramaya University, Ethiopia, and MA in Economics from Indira Gandhi National Open University, India. He has been working on different climate change adaptation and mitigation projects in Ethiopia for the last five years. Some of the well-known projects he had been working were Addis Ababa greenhouse gas inventory, promoting autonomous adaptation at the community level, national transport sector GHG inventory, preparation of prioritized adaptation packages investment plan and others. In doing these projects, he advanced his knowledge and practices in planning, measuring, monitoring of climate change-related projects
