Felipe Cerbella Mandarino
Geographer, Rio de Janeiro City Government
Geographer who acts as Manager of Environment and Climate Change Studies at Rio’s Institute for Data, Information and Knowledge Management. He is part of the first group of professionals certificated under the City Climate Planner program, with the "Urban GHG Inventory Specialist" certificate. In 2018, attended the first Cities IPCC Conference, where presented research on vulnerability to sea level rise in Rio de Janeiro.
Felipe has experience in Climate Change Science, Geographic Information Systems and Environmental Sciences. During the last 10 years working for Rio was part of several projects related to climate change, e.g. Rio de Janeiro's GHG Emissions Monitoring System, City Climate Change Adaptation Strategy and other climate change adaptation and impact studies.
Felipe is also the technical coordinator of a partnership between Rio and NASA to support innovative efforts to better understand, anticipate, and monitor natural hazards and climate change impacts around the city.
